Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt raised a few eyebrows when it was revealed that they were working together on a new movie, and now the actress and director admitted that shooting her husband was “heavy” going.
The Oscar-winning star shot the marital drama with Brad in Malta on their honeymoon after deciding to not only star in it but also direct the movie.
"It's probably not an accident that the films that I care about happen to be about issues that matter to me, stories that I want to tell,” Angelina told the Directors Guild of America.

The couple tacked the roles, with the characters being an unhappy couple on holiday in France.
Describing how it made for awkward moments on set because of the depths the characters went to, she said: "I'd be directing myself and him in a scene where we're having a fight, and I'd be pulling out the parts [of him] that have an aggression toward me or when you're frustrated with each other — it was very heavy.”
It’s been 10 years since the release of the couple’s movie, Mr & Mrs Smith, and the storyline is far from where the action spy movie.
