The power couple split six months ago after arguing over her massive movie career, several sources have told UsWeekly.
The 29-year-old actress and the 42-year-old former teen heartthrob - who is best known for the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 - have two children together: Noah, aged two, and Bodhi, aged 18 months.
'Megan has separated from Brian,' a source told the weekly. 'They decided it six months ago.'
Another friend added, 'Things have been rocky.'
They were last seen together on June 9 in Beverly Hills. Their reps have yet to comment. The tension in their relationship was over her constant absence as she made film after film. This summer she has been in New York City making the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
'They fight about her career,' a source relayed.
It was added that Green would have liked his much-younger spouse to spend more time at home in Los Angeles with him and their two children. 'She was obsessed with getting roles,' the insider said.
Hollywood marriages never last.
