The 46-year-old Charlie's Angels star welcomed her first child via gestational surrogate and shared the first picture of her newborn son on social media.
'Introducing the new little man in my life, my son Rockwell Lloyd Liu. In (love emoji)', Lucy gushingly wrote in the caption.
Lucy's representative confirmed the news via a statement to DailyMail.com.
'I can confirm that Lucy Liu is the proud mother of Rockwell Lloyd Liu, brought into the world via gestational carrier,' the rep said, adding: 'Mom and baby are healthy and happy.'
A gestational carrier is usually called in for someone who cannot otherwise carry the pregnancy for herself. The surrogate in implanted with an embryo created usually by in vitro fertilization (IVF) and unrelated to the baby she carries.
Although she has stayed quiet on her romantic life, Lucy has been linked in the past to businessman Noam Gottesman, actor Will mcCormack and writer-film director Zach Helm.
