WALE SAYS KENDRICK LAMAR WON'T TAKE HIS CALLS

Is Kendrick Lamar letting success get to his head?

At least according to Wale, he is. The MMG rapper, whose latest release The Album About Nothing was ignored by the Grammys this year, spent a good portion of his morning on Twitter, sarcastically remarking on his exclusion from the rap categories.

But when one fan suggested that he and 11-time Grammy nominee K-Dot hit the road together, he had a surprising response: “ain’t answered that phone since the last nomination. I get the Demi lavato [sic] treatment from him now. It’s hard out here.”
The Washington, D.C. native was referring to how the Grammys have yet to honor Lovato with a nomination after years of releasing music, and suggesting that he hasn’t heard from Lamar since he scored seven nods at the 2014 ceremony. Lamar didn’t win any that year, but scored two trophies this year for “i” for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. Earlier today, Lamar scored a staggering 11 nominations, placing him far ahead of The Weeknd and Taylor Swift, who each earned seven.

Wale, who has been consistently beefing with his MMG cohort Meek Mill, incited a response from Lamar’s TDE peer Jay Rock, who responded on Twitter. “I SEE WHY U NOT MMG. SMH,” he wrote, referencing Meek stating to Wale, “U Not MMG.”
