MALAYSIA DOCTOR FACES SACK FOR FINGERING A PATIENT WHILE TAKING A SELFIE

A doctor grins and makes a 'V for victory' sign while her other hand is on a female patient's private parts in this disturbing image.

The medic at hospital in Malaysia is facing the sack for allowing the snap of herself to be taken while the patient was in labour before it was shared widely on social media.

Although technically not a selfie as the doctor clearly could not have taken the image herself, it was widely reported in local media as yet another abuse of selfies in the medical profession.

Previous instances have mostly involved nursing staff and people in lesser roles and this is believed to be the first time a doctor has been caught.

Initially it was unknown who the doctor was but now she has been identified as a female medic working at the Johor Bahru hospital in the state of Johor at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula.

Malaysia's health minister Dr Seri Subra promised swift action to punish the doctor.

He said officials were waiting for the completion of an investigation by a medical ethics panel before deciding whether she should be sacked or fined.
