NASARAWA UNITED ENDS KANO PILLARS 201 GAMES UNBEATEN HOME NPFL RECORD

Nasarawa united yesrerday (August 23, 2015) ended Kano Pillars 201 games unbeaten home record in Matchday 25 of the Nigerian Professional Football League. The home team came into this game back from a midweek loss to Enyimba FC hoping to bounce back from the defeat but capitulated to a determined Nasarawa united in yesterday's Northern derby.

The Sai Masu Gidas as Kano Pillars are fondly called have made the Sani Abacha Stadium, their home ground, a fortress over the years and the last time they lost in front of their home fans in an NPFL game was 1-2 against Julius Berger in 2003

But a brace from Bature in the first half today helped the visiting Solid Miners to a historic win over the NPFL defending champions.

Despite a goal early in the second half by Pillars captain Rabiu Ali in the 46th minute, Nasarawa united held on to secure a victory.

Kano Pillars 12 years home invincibility in the NPFL has been shattered!
