Her beau Nick Young got down on one knee in June this year to propose to her with a whopping $684,000 yellow diamond ring.
But despite their fairytale romance, Iggy Azalea has revealed she didn't always like her fiancé.
The 25-year-old Australian rapper admitted to The Daily Telegraph's Sunday Style that when she first met the LA Lakers player, she 'thought he was an a***hole.'
The admission comes as quite a surprise, as the loved up pair have become known for their amorous displays of public affection since they first started dating 18-months ago.
Iggy who had forgotten all about her initial encounter with Nick, revealed to the publication that eight months into their relationship, it dawned on her that they had actually met before.
'[We'd met] a few years prior to that, and I didn't know and I hated him,' she revealed.
The meeting in question took place at a pool party hosted by Nick's team players and the controversial rapper was not shy on hiding her initial feelings.
'Back then I hated all of them [the basketball players]. And now I love all of them. When I figured it out, I think I was already in love with him,' she confessed.
The romance officially began thanks to Twitter, with Nick tweeting that he had a crush on the popular hit maker, and since then the pair have not looked back.
Meanwhile, the Aussie rapper, who grew up as Amethyst Amelia Kelly from Mullumbimby, New South Wales, will bring her handsome fiancé home for his first visit to Australia in August.
The celebrity couple have been dating since September 2013, with Nick having a three-year-old son named Nick Jr. from a previous relationship.
Iggy and Nick's first date was quite memorable, with the pair trekking around the discount store, Target, buying socks.
Iggy first shared the news of their engagement on Instagram and to her more than 7.6 million followers, sharing a picture of the rock and wrote: 'Happiest Day #Isaidyes.'
The pair will wed next year, during the NBA off season.
Iggy told her Twitter followers she plans to wear white or ivory and that she wants 'a pretty traditional style wedding'.
