The first promotional still of Kelly Rowland in her guest spot on Empire has emerged online, first posted by TV Insider.

Fox announced in July that the Destiny’s Child singer would be appearing on the second season of the Fox drama in the role of Leah Lyon.

Kelly couldn’t be more excited about her latest gig, saying, “I am an absolute fan of the show. It was the most exciting thing to work with all of these masterminds.”

Rowland appears in flashback episodes as the mother of a young Lucious Lyon, helping to piece together the backstory of the season’s devilish hip hop mogul, who starts off the second season behind bars.

Kelly joins a slew of high-profile guest stars for the show’s second season, including big names like Mariah Carey, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and Marissa Tomei.

Season 2 premiere of Empire on Fox on September 23.
