RONDA ROUSEY GETS HER FIRST-EVER DEFEAT BY KNOCK-OUT IN THE HANDS OF HOLLY HOLM

In case you don't know who Ronda Rousey is: She's an American mixed martial artist, judoka, and actress. She was the first UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion,[7] as well as the last Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. She has starred in Movies like 'The Expendables 3','Furious 7'

Holly Holm stunned the sporting world knocking out Ronda Rousey to hand the UFC superstar her first-ever defeat.

Holm landed a brutal kick to the head to knock Rousey down in round two, before following that up with some ground punches to stop her opponent after 59 seconds in front of a shocked Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.

It was the first loss of Rousey’s MMA career, who had previously won her last three fights in a combined 64 seconds and was a massive favourite heading into the bout.

“I’m trying to take it all in and it’s crazy,” said Holm.

“I had the help of everyone in my team and I had never spent as much time in the gym as that before any fight in the past.

“I got in the cage with so much love and support, so how could I have not done this with all of that?

“Everything we worked on presented itself in the fight. We wanted her to put the pressure on and we worked a lot on range and footwork.
“A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into the build-up of this but it was sure worth it.”

Former boxing world champion Holm has now become the first person to ever win world titles in both boxing and mixed martial arts.

The 34-year-old now has a record of 10-0, with seven of those victories coming by knockout.
