Nigerian pop star, Wizkid has been interviewed by International Magazine, ‘The Fader’ for its December 2015 edition.
In the article titled, ‘Wizkid Is Getting The Global Embrace He Deserves’, the young singer opens up on his life and his music.
1. I’m a perfectionist, I can listen to the music now and tomorrow I’ll be like, Yo, I feel we need to change this, and then we have to go back to the drawing board.
2. In Africa, house music artistes are the ones most likely to cross over internationally. There are very few African artists who can do that.
3. Winning awards is not the reason why I fell in love with music.
4. I knew ‘Ojuelegba’ was a good song, but I didn’t expect it to blow up the way that it did.
5. My parents still live in Ojuelegba. We have a house there.
