The character - played by Kit Harington - was seemingly murdered by his Night's Watch comrades in the finale of season five.
And now after months of fan theories about how he could have survived, Jon appears in the first promo for season six.
The show's official Twitter account sent the excitement into overdrive when they shared a picture of Jon to promote the new series on Monday.
It featured the Lord Commander - a member of the Stark family - with blood trickling down his face.
The caption didn't give away much else, simply reading: "APRIL. #GoTSeason6 #GameOfThrones."
So far the post has been wildly popular with more than 32,000 users retweeting it and 22,000 people 'liking' it.
However the reception has been divided as fans of the fantasy series debate whether bringing Jon back is a wise move.
