Rapper Fetty Wap is recovering in hospital after he was knocked off his motorcycle in his New Jersey hometown on Saturday.
The 25-year-old was seen laying on the ground in Paterson as several people tended to him. He was then taken away in an ambulance.
The musician is now in a stable condition and has thanked his fans for their support.
His representatives released a statement on Saturday night saying: 'Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today.
'He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support.
'They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available.'
According
to ABC 7 police are investigating the crash. No summons have been
ordered and the woman driving the car involved in the collision has not
been identified.
Wap - whose real name is Willie Maxwell -
'tried passing one vehicle, he didn't see another coming in the opposite
direction and they collided,' a source told TMZ.
He was
conscious after the wreck but his injuries are not known. A source told
TMZ Fetty is awake and 'doing fine' in the hospital but doctors are
running tests.
Hours later his friend Jhonni Blaze from Love
& Hip Hop NY posted a photo of the singer on Instagram with a leg
brace and arm wrap on. She wrote in her caption, 'He's ok.'
The
Trap Queen singer's black-and-white Suzuki bike was seen on the ground
with a shattered front end and pieces of the exterior scattered about
the road.
It is not known if he was wearing a helmet.
